Before and After - Nightstand
A sweet friend brought this to me because she ‘knew I could do something wth it’. 🙂
It originally belonged to her grandmother.
My friend used it in her daughter’s bedroom and when it came time to makeover the room, they opted to get rid of the nightstand. She asked family if they wanted it and everyone said no. Instead of tossing it in the trash, she asked me if I wanted it. YAY!!!
It’s always hard for me to say no to a project piece with good bones.
I cleaned it up really well and removed all the stickers, did a little scuff sand and painted it in Windy Blue by Sherwin Williams. Such a soft, French blue. The floral and ribbon accents on the piece deserved to be highlighted so I went over them with a gold Rub and Buff.
New gold hardware was added. Love the bow k**b (from Hobby Lobby). Gold bar pulls are from Lowe’s.
Final touch was a blue floral peel and stick wallpaper in the bottom of the drawers.
I can definitely see this piece going back into a little girl’s bedroom! :)
