Almost done with the engine work and I moved on to the brakes. Rear is full of sludge and the front is even worse. Master cylinder is shot and the front rotor is rubbing on the caliper mount. Looks like a bunch of new parts need to be ordered

Fuel leaking from left gas tank.

Choke leaver got stuck and needed to remove the breather to manually operate it. Also adjusted the idle and air/fuel screw +1/4 turn

Forgot to pull the oil filter cartridge out of the oil tank. She overflowed a bit of oil when I removed the cap to check the return. 2 start up had no issues. Continuing to perform heat cycling the motor to seat the new rings and valves. Then torque everything again and run it some more. Then hopefully the test ride goes well. Still need to sort out the leaking brakes

Went to adjust the clutch by the book and remembered it isn’t a stock transmission. Upgraded to a 5 speed. also found the primary is very low on oil

The motor is back together and rotated by hand. Ready to put the rest back together and heat cycle🤞🏻

Everything is inspected and measured. Time to clean all the parts before assembly.
