Made some serious progress on the new rocker today.

Just broke down the first of the two new barrels I just got. These barrels are fantastic. These next two chairs will be my best yet. I'll sand and stain tomorrow then start assembly of the first rocker on Thursday. I've laid out the staves on where they will go in the rocker. Starting from the bottom; the two arms, two runners, two seat base, three chair front, 9 staves make up the chair back, 7 for the seat and two for seat braces. 27 staves from a barrel of 29.

Just finished two small projects. A new table and a rotating shelf. both are listed in marketplace. The table sells for $70 and rotating shelf is $30.

I Started making rocking chairs from wine barrels after repairing one my sister-in-law had. I've since made 6 rockers and a couple of tables. I am always looking for new things I can make from wine barrels. I've seen the chairs sell anywhere from $150. to $600. At 150 you get a rough made unfinished chair. At 600 you get a piece of finished furniture. My chairs fall in the middle at $299. Most of the weather and barrel stains sanded off, most surface screws hidden behind plugs and a light stain and sealer finish.
