Bit of lullabies- upcycling Scarletts old shirt into my kindle holder. Getting some practice on the sewing machine before diving into upholstery. Big thank you to Donna for spending all night and morning figuring this out with me and Grandma for giving me such a great machine to work on. Going to try a different style tonight to get more practice

My first time restoring brass k***s and holy s**t it’s SO worth the time and effort 😍 gonna need to move this one to storage quick before I convince myself I don’t actually need to sell it and could utilize it somewhere for myself 🤣 at least I’m a big fan of my own work lol

Back with a banger!! Scrubbed this cutie back to raw wood and did a brown paint wash. Not a fan of the handles but they’re such a weird measurement I legit cannot find others that’ll fit.

Between summer heat and love island I just didn’t prioritize projects but I’ve got a few goodies and other projects I’m starting so hopefully I can pick back up on the pace a bit.

I sold my highest priced piece in May and will be listing this one for more so here’s to hoping French Provincials are just the route I need to continue to take. They’re my favorite 🥰

This piece was WORK. Once I brought it home and inspected it I immediately posted it to marketplace for free so someone would come take it off my hands. A drawer was glued in the most insane way- which you can see in the pictures and every drawer slide needed replaced and I just wanted nothing to do with it. Apparently the people of NTX felt the same way because even for free no one wanted it 🤣 so I sanded it down and decided since it was solid pine I’d give it a chance. I stained it so many times and tried paint wash and everything looked awful. So last ditch effort I painted it my favorite color. Scarlett walked in this morning and was ATTACHED to it crying about no one can take it so we switched out her French provincial and stuck it in her room. So lowkey- all that work and menty b’s… for us to just keep it. I’m so sad it’s directly in front of the window and pictures don’t do the color justice but trust that it really completes her room. 🤞🏼

At least now I know I have a solid wood FP to flip next so love that for us.

Another cutie saved from the deep trenches of furniture paint 😅 there was FOUR layers of paint I had to fight thru to get to this solid wood beauty. Luckily it’s rained so much and the humidity helps remove paint so I only really struggled through one side and every single drawer lol nbd.

The top two drawers and body didn’t match the bottom four drawers. Those were much darker so I had to stain it and then use toner on the whole thing to get it to somewhat mesh. It looks so much less red in person- Thank God.
This is a 1940-1950s John Widdicomb Co. piece that came with 5/6 original pulls. I searched high and low on the internet to find the missing piece but couldn’t so I had to switch them out 😭
Whatever, it’s always so satisfying getting to save a solid wood antique. 🐿️

I’m obsessed.

This cutie fell victim to white chalk paint and after DAYS of scrubbing and stripping I finally got her prepped and ready to just have a light coat of paint wash.

I finally picked up a French provincial piece but it too is solid wood so I’m having to strip 4 layers of paint off it. I’m so sunburned from being determined to finish this girl that I’m gonna need a few days to heal before diving into that.

A restored vintage MCM piece that had lots of damage on the edges and that old orange color Spencer says reminds him of computer desks in the 2000’s 🤣 seriously such a solid piece and the lady gave it to me for free because the middle was bowing and it was too heavy for her to want to do anything with. I just added a middle support beam which is off center so don’t look too close 😅 this one seems too simple of a flip and honestly- it was 🤣 a wins a win.

Going to price this piece much higher than any other piece I’ve sold yet and see where that takes me. Thoroughly enjoyed the process of this one. 🤎

LISTING SOLD! Going into a little girls nursery 🙌🏼

The top was just MDF but I really think these pieces with the chunky crown molding look best two toned so I did a faux wood top and bottom. I painted it all the cream color and then added a stain to the top and used a darker stain to give it some dimension.

Working on restoring an MCM piece but really holding out for a cute French provincial because I need more nursery pieces in my life. Pieces like this one make for an easy flip but I never love them unless it’s a colorful painted piece- sorry to all the wood lovers out there 🤣 anyways- this guy was $10 and I reused hardware and supplies I already had.
