An update to a earlier post. The range hood and vent are installed. The tile will still need to be done around it and three sections of facia installed but this one is very close to being done.
The hood is made from uni-directional plywood with four layers of plaster and pile based primer between coats.

This a vent hood I’m presently building. I just finished the glue up today. I will let this dry until tomorrow and I’ll pull the screws and give the whole hood a veneer cover.

While the mahogany entrance door is being completed we took this quick tuning and dressing project. Doors came to us fairly rough. The grain had been roughly worked over. The photos as we cleaned and worked the grain smooth again show beautiful grain work throughout. They are older cypress and show that they were fairly well taken care of…

A clients front door was more or less destroyed by fire fighters when they had to get in to put out the fire. I saved approximately 25% of the original door and rebuilt the rest. Mahogany.
