Small breeds love to chew too 🐶🦴

Just because a dog is small doesn’t mean they don’t have strong chewing instincts. Breeds like Dachshunds, Jack Russells, Chihuahuas, and French Bulldogs still benefit from safe, engaging chews that help with boredom, enrichment, and healthy chewing habits.

The key is choosing chews that are appropriately sized—lightweight enough for smaller mouths, but still durable enough to keep them interested. Coffee wood sticks are a great fit for small dogs because they are lightweight and easy to carry around.

Big personalities deserve great chews too 💚🐾

Strong-jawed breeds need chews that can keep up 🐶💪

Dogs like Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Labradors are known for their powerful jaws and determined chewing habits. These breeds often need denser, longer-lasting chews that can safely handle heavy chewing while keeping them mentally engaged. Antlers, Sheep horns, and Briar Root Chews are made for power chewers.

Choosing the right chew for a strong chewer isn’t just about durability—it’s about giving them a safe, satisfying outlet for their natural instincts. Still not sure what chew is right for your dog-take our Chew Quiz to find the perfect chew! https://canophera.com/pages/quiz

Pet Parent Testimonial

“Since we have a 6-month-old Labrador puppy who loves chewing mulch, I figured I'd try some of your heavier-duty-looking items to hopefully lure her away from her mulch chomping. So far, it's working well. The circular rope toy has been good for playing tug, and the rope and wood combo toy for out back for when she is lounging outside and feels compelled to chew. She is going to chew, so I'd rather it be something that isn't treated with chemicals and who knows what else. Plus, it seems to be good on her teeth. I plan on buying from you all for our extended family's pups, too. "

Cats need to Play too.

It’s not just fun, it’s essential for their health and happiness. Playtime taps into their natural hunting instincts, helping them stay active, reduce stress, and prevent boredom-related behaviors.

Whether it’s chasing, pouncing, or batting at toys, regular play keeps cats mentally stimulated and physically fit.

Providing a variety of engaging toys and making time for interactive play each day helps strengthen your bond and gives your cat the enrichment they need to truly thrive, which is why we came up with the Happy Cat Box.

Today is a reminder to cherish time with the ones we love—both two-legged and four-legged—and to reflect with gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy every day. From our Canophera family to yours, we are thankful for all who have served and sacrificed.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day ❤️🤍💙

Does your dog hate fireworks?

You’re not alone—many dogs become anxious during loud noises and holiday celebrations.

Fireworks Tips:

1. Stay calm and comforting—your dog looks to you for reassurance during stressful moments.
2. Try keeping your dog indoors, closing windows and curtains, playing calming music or white noise.
3. Create a safe and comforting space for your dog and stay nearby to offer comfort.
4. Long walks and enrichment earlier in the day can also help release extra energy before the noise begins.
5. Offer a distraction like a new toy or chew to keep them occupied.

Chewing can be a calming outlet for dogs during stressful moments like fireworks.

When dogs chew, it can help them release nervous energy and stay mentally focused on something comforting instead of the loud noises around them.

Long-lasting chews also provide enrichment and distraction, which may help reduce boredom and anxiety during stressful events.

Pairing a natural chew with a quiet, cozy space and calming background noise can help create a more relaxing environment for your dog during fireworks season.
