The windows came first. Floor-to-ceiling black steel frames in every room, all of them facing the garden. Once those were set, the rest of the interior had its instructions. Linen drapery layered not to cover the glass but to give the light somewhere to land. A table positioned so the garden sits in every view. We at McALPINE strive for the conversation between inside and outside to never be a question, but to be the whole point.
