Max made a top for a work table with scraps from a project. Emily thought it was pretty. Now it’s our (her) desk. Because we hate waste and adding to the landfill, we save (hoard) as much as space allows. This desk was made entirely from project leftovers. We have another salvaged scrap top in the clamps. Let us know if we can design something for you!

In 2003 Max met with his mentor, Ron Pulley, every Friday. Ron asked Max, new to woodworking, to choose a project that felt impossible. Over the course of six months they built a beautiful cherry dresser, and that’s how Max learned to make furniture. Ron recently gifted us with some of his tools, many of which Max used to build that dresser. We are so grateful to Ron for his generosity. Because of his influence and wisdom, Elm & Co was born.

Work got a little less workey thanks to a gift from our friend Ron (more about that later). We aren’t sure what Grizzly and Polar Bears have to do with wood working, but this new equipment has made our latest kitchen cabinet project “plane” easy.
