We are incredibly honored that our General John A. Logan window display at Signature Market “New To You” was featured in The Southern’s coverage of the Logan 200 Celebration!

A heartfelt thank you to Paul Wilcoxen and The Southern for highlighting our little corner of Downtown Murphysboro. We were proud to celebrate one of Southern Illinois’ most historic and influential figures, and even prouder that our display could play a small part in helping tell his story.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the General John A. Logan Museum, its staff, volunteers, organizers, and all of the judges who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this celebration such a success. Events like this don’t happen without countless hours of dedication, planning, and community spirit, and Murphysboro is fortunate to have so many people committed to preserving and sharing our rich history.

On the Signature Market side of things, I want to give special recognition where it is most deserved. The creativity, decorating ideas, hard work, and vision behind our window display came from my wonderful daughter-in-law, Brianne Mason, her mother Brenda, and our dear friend Dee. These amazing ladies poured their hearts into bringing the display to life, and I am so grateful for their talent, enthusiasm, and willingness to help while I have been spending time with Scott during his recovery.

What started as an idea became something truly special because of their efforts, and I couldn’t be more thankful.

Murphysboro has always been a community that comes together, and this celebration was a beautiful example of that spirit.

Thank you to everyone who visited downtown, supported local businesses, attended the events, and helped honor 200 years of the incredible legacy of General John A. Logan.
