I found these two pieces and an estate sale. I saw potential and grabbed them quickly, without doing a good look over.
When I started prep, I began to realize they needed more work than I would probably make profit.
I let them sit for a while before I continued.
They are older heavy pieces, rough cut from wood, that was probably the scrap pile. The man dying in hospice was the man who built them according to his son.
To think of the time and effort he put into them, I decided to continue off the worn canvas that was left.
I think the roughnes and the holes makes them beautiful. They are diamonds in the rough.

This vintage wooden dry sink is a quality made piece. Inside the lower cabinet doors is a shelf for organized storage, and above it is a nice long drawer for convenience. The dry sink top has a copper metal inlay that adds extra character.
This would be a great piece to service as coffee or liquor bar.

The weather has been getting warmer so more work has been completed in the garage space. Unfortunately the garage isn't heated so it limits my productivity during the winter months. Hurray for Spring!

Love, love, love this dresser! It reminds me of a refined gentleman.
Originally, it was completely painted in a farmhouse white with rustic black handles. Which didn't feel like it gave homage to its true character. Some time was spent refinishing the upper portion which revealed beautiful veneer. To finish it off, matte black paint with gold art deco style handles were chosen to bring back its "top drawer" appeal. No longer lacking in luster this piece is stately and timeless.

This end table may be neutral in color but there is nothing plain about it.
