Happy Mother’s Day to the one who started it all 💫

Bridget built more than a business — she built a legacy grounded in creativity, resilience, generosity, and heart. One that has shaped not only our studio, but our family.

One of the greatest gifts she’s given me is the freedom to both fail and succeed, always knowing I would be met with unwavering support, encouragement, and love. That kind of foundation is rare, and I’m endlessly grateful for it. Watching her as a grandmother adds yet another beautiful layer to the legacy she continues to build every single day.

Today, we celebrate all forms of motherhood — the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, mothers-to-be, those longing to become mothers, those missing their mothers, those carrying loss, and the villages of people who show up every day to nurture, support, and love others well.

Motherhood takes many forms, but its impact is immeasurable. We see you, we honor you, and we celebrate you! 🤍

Day 3 of 📚!

Today we’re featuring our friends at (be sure to check out the video we shared to our story earlier!).

We’ve had the pleasure of working with the LPL team for nearly a decade—touching everything from the adult reading room and café/periodicals area to the teen lounge and fireside reading spaces. It’s been an honor to help shape so many areas of the library.

Most recently, we partnered on a new circulation desk following an unexpected sprinkler flood. While going without a circ desk for several months was no easy feat, our team at SSDS designed a solution that works within the existing footprint while better supporting the evolving needs of both staff and patrons—and yes, it doesn’t hurt that it looks great, too 😉

Day 2 of 📚 = National Library Workers Day !

At Westfield Memorial Library, an outdated, underutilized office was transformed into a makerspace & refreshed office suites.

Community feedback sparked the makerspace—but the project also gave us the chance to rethink staff spaces. And while those are often the last to be renovated, today we’re celebrating why they matter.

Great libraries start with the people behind them - make sure you thank your local librarian today for all the work they do!

We’re kicking things off with one of our favorite moments from Florham Park Public Library — where early literacy meets PLAY.

A built-in window bench keeps board books right at little hands’ level, while a LEGO table invites creativity, imagination, and connection.

Libraries today are more than places to check out books—they’re vibrant community hubs where kids (and their grown-ups) can explore, discover, and just be kids. ✨

Last night was one of those reminders of why this community means so much to us 💗

We attended the 25th Anniversary Party for —an organization that shows up in a very real way for women in our industry facing breast cancer. They provide financial support so those going through it can focus on healing instead of everything else life keeps throwing at them.

HUGE thank you to the Common Thread for the Cure NJ Committee & event sponsors for putting on such a wonderful event. There’s something really powerful about an industry that takes care of its own! 💪🏻💖
