Meet CUSP, a meeting of timelines

It began as a single slab. no separation, no negotiation, just one continuous field of grain.

Top and lower plane, drawn from the same source, held apart just enough to create tension.

A quiet challenge sat beneath the ask to blend mid-century modern with Sheraton:
to exist between two languages without letting either take over one rooted in restraint, the other in refinement.

The top carries a subtle scalloped lip more felt than seen. A nod to detail without drifting into ornament.

The lower surface doesn’t sit It hovers, suspended on slender brass rods, leaving only an eighth of an inch to catch the light.

Not enough to announce itself.
Just enough to be found.

There’s a moment where the brass breaks through a thin line of warmth against the discipline of the walnut.

CUSP lives thereat the threshold between eras, between grounded and lifted, between what is declared and what is discovered

Meet DRIFT, a lesson in listening.

Not everything needs to be held in place.

DRIFT emerged without resistance. The form wasn’t forced into balance, it found it. Each curve resolves into the next, carrying weight without appearing to. What remains is a structure that feels less constructed and more settled, as if it arrived exactly where it was meant to.

Crafted from blue maple, the material reinforces the intention. Light in both tone and weight, it softens the presence of the piece without diminishing its grounding. The grain moves quietly across the surface, uninterrupted, like a current passing through.

There’s no tension here.
Only continuity.

Meet TETHER, a piece that began with divergence.

The slab didn’t offer symmetry. It didn’t suggest balance in the conventional sense.
Instead, it revealed contrast, one side dense and expressive, the other quieter, more restrained. Two directions emerging from the same origin, but pulling apart.

The instinct could have been to correct it. To refine it into uniformity. To resolve it into something predictable.

It wasn’t.

The grain was followed, not forced and allowed to dictate the form of the legs as they descended, each side carrying its own character, its own weight. What emerged was not a mirrored structure, but a relationship between unequal parts.

And that relationship required resolution.

The steam-bent stretcher became that moment.

It is the only element in the piece asked to change state to yield under heat, to bend, to hold memory of pressure. Where the rest of the table was shaped through removal and refinement, this single gesture was formed through transformative surrender.

It doesn’t simply connect the two sides. It holds them in peace.

Without it, the piece separates visually, structurally, conceptually. With it, tension becomes cohesion.

TETHER lives in that space between forces.

Not in perfect balance, but in deliberate connection.
A reminder that structure doesn’t always come from control, sometimes it comes from alignment.

Was Commissioned to make a incense/ ritual box, similar to our original SMOLDER.

Originally the client asked to have the compartments engraved yet after a small conversation we landed on embedding raw crystals with her intention towards each.

The vault consists of Burled Curly Maple, Ebony, Curly Rosewood and Claro walnut. The handle is raw Black Tourmaline, with amethyst, selenite and clear quartz embedded into the slides.
