Happy Friday eve everybody!

So I’ve been wanting to Incorporate some kind of a headboard and coolify the space in one of my spare bedrooms that I homeshare on Airbnb. it’s a small bedroom, but honestly it has lots of space! I finally figured out what I wanted to do…

It’s a sunny Saturday here in Milwaukee!
I have an Upcycled planter idea to share. Everybody has had some what is fixture with those glass shades that are out of style. Well save those shades! Do what I did and make a planter out of it!If you or family or friends don’t have any, they are typically pretty cheap at your local restore and thrift store. keep on keeping Green!

RECYCLING - REPURPOSE - UPCYCLE

What most people think of these words, often times it involves objects, materials, things. But, it can also have a meeting with ourselves and our person. At times we reinvent ourselves, repurpose our lives, and many times upcycle different parts into newly furnished chapters.

I wanted to share this article with you. Over the last few years I’ve naturally evolved into incorporating this type of behavior into my life. I found that I am much more happier overall, and it’s so nice to just let things go and not have them bother you.

This used to be a wall planter. I liked the style, but these shallow things don’t hold water very well and I end up watering my flowers at least three times a day! The holder is still good so I tried thanking of other ways I could use it besides just having it sit in the garage collecting dust.

I I thought it would be nice to have a bedside table to pop the remotes on and my water bottle instead of on the floor next to the bed. I didn’t want to add another piece of furniture in my already smallish room. One day I saw my planter and thought of other wall type shelves/night stand alternatives I’ve seen online and it all fit together in my mind perfectly.…I had my plan!

So here you have it! Previously known as a planter, now repurposed into a bedside table with storage 😁 🤓

Boy oh boy has it been awhile! Hope all are doing well. Life has certainly happened, as I'm sure you've also experienced. Repurposing & upcycling is a part of my everyday life - so many things to experiment with and help reduce the carbon footprint and consumerism!

Here's a little something I found that I want to try this summer....you can call it repurposing nature! Talk more soon!!

Dandelion jelly is simply amazing! It tastes just like honey with a hint of lemon. We just love this on toast, biscuits and even as a sweetener for herbal teas!

Hello everybody! It’s been a while since my last post, although I’ve been refocusing and reorganizing, I have still been up on my repurposing! Most recently I took some frozen rhubarb and incorporated it into a meal. Rhubarb? What the heck did you do you say?! Rhubarb contains large amounts of fiber and vitamin C, both an essential part of everybody’s daily diet. I cooked down the rhubarb and added all my normal vegetables and incorporated it into a few different types of soups. The end result was a dish that was very healthy and tasty for everybody that consumed it. How did I come across all this rhubarb? I have a plant in my yard that grows crazy! Instead of letting it grow and go to waste, I take the stocks and cut them into pieces and freeze them for later use is into soups and vegetable dishes. Another favorite of mine is cooking up rhubarb and adding it to red cabbage, A popular European side dish.
