I keep getting lucky and finding more waterfall furniture to work on. This desk has vintage charm with modern functionality. The blue paint on the top two drawers from contrasts with the beautiful design on the lap drawer, and accents the rest of the desk. Of course I had to line all the drawers. I'm so thankful for my friends and family that allow me to be so creative with furniture and explore my artistic side.

Losing my grandma set me back a bit mentally and emotionally, so I took my time on this one and I'm so glad that I did. This art deco vanity turned desk went from dark and worn out to light and refreshed. Every inch had some level of work done to it. The dark brown stain was completely hiding the beautiful woodgrain, the hardware was rusty, the drawers smelled funky, and there were scratches and dings galore. Thankfully all of those things could be fixed and it is now on its way to it's new home.

I just realized I never posted this table! Someone purchased her from me to put on a charity auction, which I think is so cool. The first thing I did after giving her a thorough cleaning was scuff sanding the entirety of the table to prepare for paint. I painted in a light off white because I wanted to keep the piece light, but I'm not the biggest fan of stark white. I used rub n buff on the k***s as a final touch. What do you think of stark white?

This console table was begging for an update, and I was so happy when I discovered the top was real wood! I sanded it down and used a gel stain to make it darker, filled in the hardware holes, drilled the holes for the new hardware, and painted the body in a very light gray color. The inside had a not so great paint job, so I sanded a little and painted in the same gray as the exterior. Finally, I put wipe on poly on the top, added legs, and put on the new hardware. The thing that made this different from the two similar ones I've done before is that it has two functioning doors instead of just one!

This came home with my mom on her last trip to Illinois! The waterfall style of furniture has my heart, so I was very excited to work on this. I used paint again in the color "Olive Wreath" to accentuate the gorgeous wood. On the top and drawers, I sanded lightly to take care of a few imperfections and then added a couple of layers of polyurethane. I was so happy with how well the drawer liners matched the paint! I love how this one turned out and can't wait to see where it ends up.

I was gifted this table by a relative who wanted to pass it along. I knew right away what I wanted to do. I painted the body and legs a beautiful off-white and stripped the top and the bottom shelf. I put polycrylic on the tabletop and shelf for added protection. I adore the design on the side. Swipe for the before.

This solid wood table was a good excuse to try . I painted the bottom portion in the color "Tropical Storm" and used their gel stain in the color "Moonshine" for the top. I wanted to keep the top nice and light to contrast against the beautiful gray. I'm so happy with how these products completely transformed this piece into something I'd have in my house...if it wasn't so small that is.

This table has now gone through two transformations. The first time, I sanded down the top and put poly on it, and painted the rest blue. I liked it, but it sat around collecting dust, so I took a closer look and wanted to try again. This time, I used smokey gel stain in the color moonshine and painted the body black. Maybe it's just me, but it feels like this piece "grew up" a little. Let me know what you think in the comments
