Do you have a dresser, nightstand, vanity, buffet, or table that you love—but the finish just doesn’t fit your home anymore?

Maybe it belonged to someone in your family. Maybe it’s incredibly well made but looks dated. Or maybe you bought it years ago thinking, “One day I’m going to do something with this.”

With custom refinishing, we can preserve beautiful wood where it makes sense, introduce a new paint color, update the hardware, or completely reimagine the piece while keeping the character that made you want to save it in the first place.

✨ Sometimes the best part of a furniture makeover is discovering what was there all along.

When I start working on an older piece, I don’t automatically reach for paint. I want to see what I’m working with first.

Under years of old finish, scratches and wear, there can be beautiful wood grain just waiting to be uncovered. And when I find it, I’ll often change the design plan so that wood becomes part of the finished piece instead of covering it up.

That’s one reason I love refinishing vintage furniture: the piece gets a say in what it becomes. 🤎

Some pieces need paint. Some deserve restoration. And some look their best with a combination of both.

That’s one of my favorite things about custom furniture refinishing.

You may love the shape and quality of an older dresser, vanity or nightstand but hate the color. Maybe the wood is beautiful but needs restoring. Or perhaps you’ve found the perfect vintage piece, but you want it redesigned to fit your home.

That’s where customization comes in. 🤎

We can choose the paint color, wood tone, hardware and finishing details together. Sometimes that means a dramatic transformation. Other times, the best makeover is simply restoring beautiful original wood and updating a few details.

There’s something special about seeing the potential in a piece that someone else may have passed by.

This vintage vanity was stripped back, refreshed and reimagined with a warm wood top, rich muted color and touches of gold—while keeping the character that made her beautiful in the first place.
