Latest upcycle obsession, may I introduce my collection of Christmas shaker tassels!

This little craft feeds my creative spirit.. it combines thrifting sad, single salt/pepper shakers, coordinating fabrics, ribbons,trims, finding beads & baubles from my personal collection & last but not least, often creating a little stained glass addition.

You can purchase these cuties at Booth # B-14, they make great Christmas gifts & help support our small business!

Happy Friday!

Wrapped up a little upcycle project in time for the weekend, a once very basic ottoman/seat is now a whimsical delight!

CSP used, including 2 custom mixes to match the fabulous fur remnant I found at Tempe SAS, then some metallic green apple for the perfect unexpected POP!

This baby is heading to Booth B-14 just in time for the Labor Day weekend sale.

Well well what do we have here.....

A little vintage lamp table , left outside and scooped up by for us to save!

What a find.. beautiful wood under the muck and unsalvageable veneer, even the original brass drawer k**b shined up beautifully! First time using oil based gel stain, went on like a dream, will definitely use again!!

This beauty will be available in our booth B-14 at this weekend.

I upcycled a picture!

One of the first art pieces we bought for our home, it served us well for years but just felt out of place with our ever evolving eclectic & whimsical vibe, so bring on Lori's crazy, creative juices!!!

Some paint, gold leaf, Anthropology wallpaper, woodubend embellishments, cast iron key plate, custom made heart & last but not least, a beautiful thrifted Mexican angel that I knew I would find a place for and ........ Voile'!

I just love the sunshine it brings to our gathering space - pun intended 😉

Yes we're still here!

The social media aspect of our Over the Hill Upcyclers side-gig has a been admittedly lacking lately, but rest assured things are still being brought back to life!

Life has a way of taking us off path at times & shifting priorities to suit the new path works better for us than trying to adhere to the status quo & becoming overwhelmed...

That said, we're ready to share a few of our recent projects, no staging warranted as all were for customers/friends - There are 2 great little stacking accent tables we were asked by a friend to make "less ugly & brown", a colorful chair as requested by one of our favorite little humans, Goldie Rae for her 9th birthday & a fresh, bright makeover for a very badly painted table for a friend of Mom's.

We have a few other projects in the works and are hoping to share a bit more going forward.. looking for that perfect balance for us.

Chocolate Gingerbread house anyone?

After seeing this trend going around, of course we had to jump on the bandwagon & add to our outdoor holiday decor! It was certainly a labor of love but we're thrilled with how this little house turned out, I think we even got approval from some neighbors 😊

Gnome invasion in full swing...

We're on a quest with the neighbors to welcome a diverse group of gnomes to the hood!

My ASU alumni friend across the street had searched for one to represent her alma mater to no avail, so I took a tattered one and voila.... ASU gnomie in the house!

Browse the others welcomed so far but please know we are not done.... More to come and looking for more upcycling opportunities for sure!!
