After losing my sister, Terry to cancer, I found a beautiful little sign she had painted that said "Terry's Cottage." I chose to use the sign and name my business in her memory, as decorating was one of her passions. I like to fill my little booth with things that I love and hope others will too!

It’s really that simple! A while back, I had purchased these wooden shutters and decided to age them with rust patina and color. I loved the way they looked but never got around to staging them for photos.

Yesterday, I brought a few in from my shop to take a picture of them in a better setting. After looking at the results, I decided I’d have to keep this pair.

For weeks, I’d been looking for something to add a bit more country rustic to my French Country look. Turns out, I had what I needed all along. And it really is that simple when you look for items you love.

Don’t give up! I wanted to say that I appreciate all of you who visit these pages and join here. I am coming back and will be posting delightful photos.

I am currently recovering from breast cancer surgery and am unable to do much of anything but lay about and heal. It’s driving me nuts but I’m finding such beautiful items during my recovery.

January Special! This pretty desk and matching chair are being offered for $165.00. In great condition, it is painted white and has 3 drawers. It's plenty big for a laptop, to do homework on or use as a vanity by adding a mirror. There's a classic elegance with its fluted legs and broken arched base. It measures 34" high, 22" deep and 33" in width. Chair measures 38" high in back. Can be picked up at my shop in Mason, TN, off Hwy 70 & 59 North. Message for time and directions.

The outside is finished! Only the shelves inside remain to have one coat of white. I have to say it's the tallest piece, requiring me to paint on a ladder. But I'm very happy with the touch of gold gilding here and there.

Looking forward to decorating the outside of my little shop for Christmas this year! I’ve been meaning to every year but always ran out of time.

But before I do that, I thought I’d do it up a bit on the inside with some lights, since it now holds my Christmas inventory.
