Meet Erica Kelsey
Emerging Artist. Movement, Color, & Design Enthusiast.
I’m a fluid abstract and mixed media artist, & an event designer based in Toronto,ON originally from Olive Branch, MS. My creative wit stems from a long background in visual merchandising, every avenue of the fashion industry (buying, selling, marketing, styling, managing), and of course, my mother. When the pandemic hit, my event company, Ella Mag Consultants wasn’t a hardly a year old. One event after the other was cancelled and I saw my dream go down the drain. Like many others I was lost, and overwhelmed by sadness, fear and isolation. I found myself on a spiritual journey, and stumbled into a old hobby of mine that gave me peace in visual art realm. So, I started to create again. I knew I had to pivot someway, somehow. I also knew I contributed to running successful companies such as Dillards, JCPenney, Macy’s, and David’s Bridal. The time was NOW to do it for myself. Ella Mag Design Studio is my perception of this crazy, beautiful, God given world we live in. I’m inspired by the energy, nature, love, joy, sadness, pain, birth, death, lightness, darkness and everything in between. Each piece captures movement, energy and emotion, and each piece is a glimpse of me.
