Apple Valley Woodworks Personalized/Custom Woodworking by Fred O'Brien Apple Valley Woodworks is my hobby business that I started about 17 years ago.

Design, production, and sale of wooden personalized toys, doll furniture, children's stools, children's savings banks, mantle clocks, and other small items for around the home.

My son and his wife were about to move to a new home and the contractor had left a pile of 2 x10 cutoffs at the site. They were all over 2 feet long so I started thinking about some way to utilize all that scrap rather than have it go to a landfill. I came up with a design for a child's stool so I could make something for my new (2 year old) grandson out of the materials from his new home. That stool was such a big hit with the family and friends that I have since made hundreds of them and shipped them all over the USA. Along the way I came up with some other products such as savings banks, toy trucks, mantle clocks, Nativity Stables, doll furniture (cradle and bed), and a few larger projects such as end tables, barrister bookcases, and full size cradles for infants.
