Just finished this piece. The window top, as well as the sides, are pre Civil War, perfectly stabilized with tung oil (China wood oil). The wood was reclaimed from a house built in the mid/late 1880’s, in Gregory, Michigan. Very cool piece for almost any motif.

This is the 2nd stage of a new butcher’s block, being made with all reclaimed oak from a house in Gregory, MI. This wood being utilized is pre civil war, from the mid 1840’s, in Unadilla Township (NW of Ann Arbor).

This piece, originally from the 1930's, is beyond unique and interesting. It only contains the original fasteners and latches, it's very pretty and full of aesthetic appeal. Take a look at the pictures, and let us know what you think. 5-6 hours of handwork, using steel wool and a brass brush, and this is the end result after a bit of staining.

This early 1930's teacher's desk was our first restoration project as K&B. If you ask me, it went very well. All original wood and fasteners, as well as the original and functional locking mechanism (with keys!).
