After 4 years of COVID shutdowns, I’m officially hosting our candle lighting ceremony to honor our loved ones gone too soon. This ceremony is held annually around the globe to honor loved ones.
In 2013, the year Jermaine passed away, I heard about this amazing event and wanted to attend to honor Jermaine, however there were no events being held locally so I hosted one in Madison.
This year, as part of The Jermaine Zirkle Memorial, I am once again hosting The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting Ceremony at Behm Family Funeral Homes in Geneva, Ohio.

Stripped completely down, 7 layers of history removed for a whole new journey and maybe another 80 years.

It's been a very long time since I've done any furniture. I've been working tirelessly on renovating my house so any free time has been spent there, and not on furniture. Not to mention, I moved from a large house with a large garage, to a little house half the size with no garage. I love love the downgrade, but this leaves no room for my furniture projects.
Last night, I started a dresser. Forgot how therapeutic this is for me, but I am so glad to be back in the swing of it.
A friend brought me this old piece with at least 8 coats of paint. He and his wife attempted to remove some of that paint on their own before calling me with hands closed in prayer hoping I'd help.
I am halfway finished removing all that mess. Can't wait to finish and bring back her original beauty!
