The plot is simple: Two old friends from childhood and age old magicians name dABE CADABRA and FRED FALCONI move into a run down condo complex at the base of the Hollywood sign in 1999 in order to to survive after becoming homeless. The complex jas a crazy "Broomhilda" type landlord and she has not rented a single unit in five long years. But the boys find the rent a bargain and move in, even w

illing to live with the tacky furnishings provided. Abe wants to be famous again and come up with a brand new act. Fred just wants to bet on the horses. Into their lives come their only grandchildren: two teenagers named BOBBY and BONNIE. The teenagers take one look ateach other and it's love at first sight. Now the greatest magic trick will not be making something disappear, but keeping these two teenagers apart.
