We added a new action this month called Preserve It, all about DIY ways to keep food out of the landfill through pickling, fermenting, and more.

This trick from that turns everyday veggie scraps into stock is just brilliant! How do you preserve your food?

This month, we're focusing on reducing food waste. Did you know that simply wasting less food is one of our most powerful climate solutions?

October is harvest season, a perfect time to honor what we have by wasting less. From the farmers market to your fridge, your choices can keep food out of landfills and nutrients in the soil.

This month, we’re launching our next Community Impact Challenge to reduce 5000 lbs of waste together: by meal planning, composting, storing smarter, and sharing what we don’t need, we’ll track how many pounds of waste we can divert.

Because when we treat food like the precious resource it is, we nourish more than just ourselves.

What better way to celebrate California Clean Air Day and the close of SoCal Transit Month than with impact. A LOT of impact.

We're thrilled to report that our community (you!) not only beat our initial goal of 15k lbs CO2e emissions avoided, but SMASHED our stretch goal of 45k lbs, closing out the month with over 27 tonnes of emissions avoided. Folks from around Southern California came together to log over 6000 transit-related climate actions to make this happen, and we couldn't be more proud.

To our winners — Seongjun B, Brianna S, and Smokey R — keep your eyes on your emails to learn how to claim your prizes.

Thank you and for bringing this month of action and impact to life. And congratulations to everyone across Southern California, whether you logged your action on the app or not, who changed their transit routine this month. These small shifts really do matter.

EVs are one of our most powerful tools for cutting climate pollution — but the tax credits that make them more affordable are about to expire.

🚗 Get up to $7,500 off a new EV or $4,000 off a used one — only if you buy before October.

It's a bad time to walk away from good climate policy. Let’s make EVs accessible, not exclusive.
