Want your business to be the top-listed Furniture Store?
Florals & Vintage Finds,Upcycled & Repurposed.
About 35 years ago I worked in an electronics company and felt the need for a change. You see, I was born with an innate need to create. As a child I, was always making this-and-that from what nature had to offer. It’s hard to deny that need to be creative.
I ended up going to floral design school and eventually open up my own shoppe called “The Gathering Basket.” I had a love for dried flowers, gardening, herbs, baskets, and all the pretty things that makes a house a home. Going to yard sales and antique shops was always a way to create unique and different home decor. I carried all kinds of home decor, mostly faux floral wreaths and arrangements. I would put flowers in almost anything. Vintage purses, shoes, crocks, punch bowls to name a few. I sold so many accessories for the country home. I ran that shop out of an old barn and at one time had 7 employees. I was quite busy. I have so many fond memories with my family and friends as they helped me run that business for near 20 years.
Then with life’s twist and turns, I closed my shop’s doors and pursued another one of my passions: horses. I never really left my creative roots however; I was always dabbling in this or that. But as time has passed, that creative innate feeling in me has resurfaced. I’ve re-opened The Gathering Basket, in hopes to share with you those same unique, thrifted finds that I’ve upcycled and repurposed to decorate your home. I love to paint old and abandoned things that people no longer want.
So...you never know what you may find in “The Gathering Basket!”
