This is a small scrap wood project for the Sanilac County Historical Museums online auction.

It was lots of cuts, lots of glue, a little bit of fire, and some fun with epoxy resin.

This is something a coworker asked me if i could make for him. I have always been interested in making one, just never made it very high onto the priority list.

Floating concealment shelf.

Dimensions are approximately 30" long, 12"wide and 4" tall.
It has an RFID lock that drops the bottom portion of the shelf down with a small card or keychain chip that gets placed over the top. It slowly comes down gas struts and cabinet hinges. A motion light inside pops on as soon as the shelf begins dropping. I also placed a layer of 2 inch pluck foam inside to create the desired pockets for whatever he decides to place inside.

This one was a lot of fun and i hope to be making more of these in the future.

It has been a while since I have posted so I wanted to catch everyone up and share a few things I have been working on.

That being said, I am going to try to gear this page more toward the things I enjoy and am passionate about. These things include, first and foremost, patriotic art, outdoor furniture and concealment furniture. As usual I will continue to be up for most challenges, but I will be a bit more selective on which projects I decide to accept.
This will help you get the quality you deserve, and myself to keep this fun and within my abilities. Don't hesitate to reach out with ideas as I am always up for a challenge, but please don't take offense if I don't feel comfortable taking on a project.

I've been busy with festivities and blessed with lots of family time.

Just wanted to take a minute and post a few things I've done lately.

Cottage roadside adress sign.

This one was a blast to make, got to play LED lights and start messing around with resin epoxy.

One of the special things about this sign, the sand used at the base of the palm trees is sand from the beach at the cottage.

The wood used was MDO, a hardwood plywood (meant for outdoor signs) and coated with an exterior satin paint. The sign is 2-sided with an 8 inch box with hinges in between to access the lighting for repairs, upgrades, etc.

Tons of fun!

Had a lot of fun making this and wouldn't mind making some more.
