Started as a rough block of red oak sitting in the shop.

No drawings.
No client brief.
Just shaping, carving, and adjusting the form until the piece finally felt balanced.

The texture was left intentionally uneven so the dark walnut stain would settle differently throughout the sculpture. Finished in satin clear to preserve the depth of the grain without making it feel overly polished.

Some pieces are built with measurements.
Others are built with instinct.

This one started as rough red oak and slowly revealed a form hidden inside the grain. Burned texture, steel, shadow, curves — every cut changing the direction of the piece until it stopped feeling like wood and started feeling alive.

Not furniture.
Not décor.
Just a quiet statement piece with weight, texture, and presence.

A few different projects moving through the workshop lately.

That’s the part I enjoy most about custom work — no two builds are ever the same. One day it’s a storage trunk, the next it’s a live edge bench, custom furniture, built-ins, or something completely outside the box.

Most people never see what goes into these projects before they leave the workshop. Raw material, layout lines, problem solving, redesigning parts, sanding, finishing, rebuilding details that don’t feel right yet — all before the final piece ever reaches a client’s home.

Everything is built from scratch and sized around the actual space instead of trying to force a store-bought piece to work.

Sometimes a piece of wood already knows what it wants to become.

This slab sat untouched for over 25 years. Split, weathered, dried out, and forgotten in a workshop corner. Instead of flattening out all the character, I kept the natural contours and carved texture so it still feels alive when you sit on it.

Custom steel legs in raw ground finish with subtle bronze tones.
Hand-shaped edges.
Black epoxy repairs worked into the voids instead of hiding them.

More sculpture than bench.

Built this custom lift top coffee table with full concealed storage and a solid panel wrap design on all sides.

The top flips open for easy access while keeping the proportions clean and furniture-focused when closed. Warm layered finish, deep recessed panels, and enough storage to clear out the everyday clutter without looking oversized in the room.

This one pushed the limits.

Serena and Lily wallpaper install with a full bathroom wrap. This paper is sensitive and shows every imperfection, so the walls were taken to a full Level 5 float before anything went up. Sanded, skimmed, corrected, and even floated behind the toilet so the pattern runs clean and continuous around the entire room.

Every seam had to land right. Every cut around switches, outlets, trim, and corners had to be controlled so the pattern flows without breaking.

End result is a tight, seamless wrap that completely transforms the space.

Built this dining set from the ground up.

Steel base. Solid wood top. Four chairs and a matching bench.

Everything was sized and adjusted to sit right at this table. Nothing guessed.

Finished with padded leather so it feels right when you sit down.
