Artisans from the world over have been drawn to the communities of this area for over a century. Many of these artisans became skilled in the crafting of fine upholstered furniture – creating a trade from their given talent. D R Kincaid Chair, a family owned furniture company, has employed these local artisans since the company’s inception over 30 years ago. As others have moved their manufacturi
ng plants to faraway lands, D R Kincaid has continued to manufacturer chairs in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge. D R Kincaid Chair takes great pride in building exquisitely finished and skillfully upholstered chairs. In fact, of the five-hundred styles offered by D R Kincaid Chair, ninety percent of the frames are built in the factory by seasoned craftspeople. After assembled, all frames go through several stages of sanding and are then placed in the careful hands of the finishing and upholstery craftspeople. Our product is exceptional with varying styles and function, allowing us to cultivate strong relationships with large dealers , mom and pop operations and interior designers. We also have the pleasure of being able to produce styles and finishes specific to customer needs.
