Originally from Connecticut and moved to Florida around the turn of the century. I am a Disabled US Army veteran having served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. I got into woodworking after my service, and, I have been working with wood for over 27 years. I have worked on houses that were built in the 1700's up to the present. Worked on homes where there had to be repairs done to the structure. I have created new post and beam parts so that repairs could be made. I have worked in a cabinet shop that created the interiors of banks and high-end commercial properties. For 18 years I ran a remodeling company That specialized in kitchens and baths and the custom cabinetry that went into them. I have done repairs and created new custom built ins for homes that had original cabinetry. Some of the most challenging are the Victorian Era homes where the cabinetry is built in place. The learning experiences from doing all these projects has given a fuller understanding as to how wood works. In all situations. As with all woodworking every new project is a learning experience that teaches me how to have an even greater product for the end user.
