I LOVE the collected, lived-in look. Thatā€™s exactly why I donā€™t want us to ruin it. šŸ˜‚

Because somehow ā€œcollectedā€ has started to become its own formula. The same colors. The same patterns. The same lamps. The same little vintage-looking accessories that were, ironically, purchased brand new.
And suddenly weā€™re right back where we startedā€¦ just with more burgundy and scalloped edges.

A truly collected home should look like YOU live there. Things youā€™ve thrifted. Things you inherited. Things you made. Furniture you saved from the curb. Something weird you bought because you loved it even though TikTok never told you to.

Buy the Target lamp if you love the Target lamp. Just donā€™t let another trend convince you thereā€™s only one way to make a home feel lived in.

Because ā€œcollectedā€ shouldnā€™t be something you can buy as a set.

A piece of furniture may look clean, but these are the places that can be overlooked. I mean, how often are you turning your furniture upside down to clean it? Probably never. Which means the person you bought it from probably never did, either.

When our son wanted to do something special for his teacher, I never expected 7+ million people to watch it happen. šŸ„¹

When your mom is a furniture flipper, you learn to see potential in curbside finds and I hope they learn that sometimes what you put into a gift IS the gift.

And yesā€¦ we found another chair. šŸ‘€
