Star Trek Federation at UNLV We watch Star Trek, discuss Star Trek, and celebrate Star Trek. Star Trek is an American science fiction franchise that was created by Gene Roddenberry in 1966.

Since its debut it has been a cult phenomenon and it is renowned for its profound impact on our culture. For instance, Star Trek has been cited as an inspiration for a number of technological inventions which have shaped our world today, such as the touch-screen pad and the mobile cell phone. The franchise is also famous for its social and intellectual pioneering, such as broadcasting the first in

ter-racial kiss on national television, featuring a strong, multiracial cast, and exploring profound multicultural and ethical philosophies. Star Trek has not only influenced our culture on many levels, but provides abounding intellectual considerations. Students will be given the opportunity to connect with fellows fans, and they will be able to build on their passion, knowledge, and philosophy. Please join us tonight at UNLV's Star Trek Federation! We will be viewing an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation and enaging in some friendly competition with a game of Cards Against Humanity.

- He obviously doesn't care about power or pay (he wants to abolish the position, and he has refused to take a CSUN salary)
- He's the only one fighting for ACCOUNTABILITY and checks & balances in CSUN
- He wants to SAVE YOU MONEY, and not squander it like they have been known to do
- He's the only NERD candidate, and a huge trekkie
