Looks like hardwood… but it’s actually porcelain tile! 👀

For this Lakeland flooring project, we replaced the original square tile with Wind River Beige wood-look porcelain planks. 🤎

All that beautiful wood-inspired texture, with the durability and moisture resistance of porcelain tile. A great combination for Florida living!

LVP, porcelain tile, or engineered hardwood? Each has its own advantages when it comes to durability, maintenance, comfort, and appearance.

We’ve put together a Flooring & Tile Selection Guide to help you compare your options before making a decision.

Now THAT is a backsplash. 🧱✨

This Wesley Chapel kitchen is such a good example of what can happen when you take a design idea a little further.

Instead of limiting the brick to the traditional backsplash area, we carried it across the full wall and around the windows, creating a feature that completely changed the character of the kitchen.

We also painted the existing cabinetry white with SW Snowbound, giving the warm brick, dark countertops and black accents a beautiful contrast.

Same kitchen.
A whole lot more personality. 🤍

Sometimes a kitchen doesn’t need to be completely replaced to feel completely different. 🤍

For this project, the existing wood cabinetry was transformed with a fresh painted finish, creating a much brighter look while working beautifully with the existing dark countertops. The before-and-after is a great example of just how much cabinet color can change the overall feel of a kitchen.

Thinking about painting your cabinets but stuck on the color? We’ve also put together resources to help homeowners explore popular cabinet paint colors, current color trends, and ideas for choosing a finish that works with the rest of the space.

The Flooring Changed Everything 👀

It’s easy to focus on paint colors and finishes, but flooring has a huge impact on how a commercial space comes together.

In this project, the old flooring was replaced with a wood-look plank that brought warmth into the new neutral palette and helped the different areas of the restaurant feel more connected.

It also shows why flooring choices for commercial spaces are about more than appearance. You’re balancing the look you want with the realities of a space that sees plenty of foot traffic, furniture movement, spills, and everyday use.

The countertop gets picked… but what about the edge? 👀

Countertop edge profiles may seem like a small detail, but they can have a surprisingly big impact on the finished look of a kitchen or bathroom.

From the clean simplicity of an eased or pencil edge to more detailed profiles like ogee, Dupont, mitered and more, there are plenty of options to consider when designing your space.

We put together this quick visual guide to make comparing some of the most popular countertop edge finishes a little easier.

From bright & bold → clean & cohesive. ✨

Bright orange, green and red walls were replaced with a clean, cohesive palette that completely changed the atmosphere of the space.

We updated the interior with fresh paint, new flooring in select areas, and finishes that worked with the restaurant’s existing character — including the high ceilings, exposed structure and warm wood details.

And of course, we had to include a little behind-the-scenes from our crew at work. 🛠️

We love getting to take on commercial projects like this throughout Central Florida — restaurants, offices, retail spaces and more.

A Whole New Look From the Outside In ✨

What a difference a new palette can make.

This Dade City restaurant went from bold red and white to a bright, clean exterior with dark accents that completely changed the feel of the building. The new look carries through the covered patio and entrance, tying the exterior into the updated interior we shared earlier.

We especially love how the dark shutters and black architectural details stand out against the lighter exterior and those finished photos at golden hour certainly didn’t hurt. ☀️

For commercial spaces, design doesn’t begin at the front door. The exterior is part of the experience, too and this one finally feels like it belongs with everything waiting inside.

Meet Pristine Pete. 🐾💙

Some of you may already know the real Peter Barker, our family dog, occasional office companion, and a little bit of a troublemaker.

Over time, Pete became the inspiration for something we really love: Pristine Pete’s Clubhouse, a free collection of coloring pages and activities that turn Pete’s everyday adventures into fun little lessons about the home, created for families, classrooms, and our community.

Pete’s adventures aren’t staying on the coloring page…

One of his favorite places is Dog Leg Woods at Cleveland Heights, where he and Ax spend quite a bit of time. And after enough visits, one particular wall kept catching our attention.

We decided it could use a little Pristine love. 🎨

So we’re donating our time and materials to transform it with a custom mural designed by Ax and we’re taking Pete (and all of you) along for the process.

This is just the beginning of Pristine Pete’s adventures! At home and around the community. 🐾

Pretty tile is the fun part. The planning comes first. ✨

A well-designed bathroom isn’t just a collection of beautiful finishes. Before anything is installed, there are a lot of little decisions that can make a BIG difference in how the finished space actually works.

Where will you store the things you use every day?
Where should the shower niche go?
How will the tile feel underfoot?
Do the vanity, countertop, fixtures and hardware actually work together?

That’s why we like to look at the bathroom as a complete design before moving forward — from layout and storage to materials and finishes.

Because the goal isn’t just a beautiful bathroom.

It’s a bathroom that was thoughtfully planned for the people who use it. 🤍

Save this one if a bathroom remodel is somewhere in your future.
