We are one week out from Waffles due date and baby is looking LOW.
We took our time off from milking to rest up and learn how we can better support our cow and her milk.
We are excited to have new filtering and cooling systems in place so that our milk is safer and fresher longer!
We’ve also got several new things we are working on to better support our pasture.
Can’t wait to meet this new little nugget and praying our sexed semen did the trick and we get a heifer for Waffles to keep forever. ❤️

Learned the ultimate, real life “don’t count your chickens before they hatch” lesson this week.
Seems we lost our entire hatch from the power outage a week or two back.
Going to give them a couple more days just in case but not feeling very hopeful.
P.s. a wool sock soaked in hot water works beautifully to keep the humidity perfect those last three days. 😆

So much variety between our geese, ducks and hens! We have yet to figure out which poor soul lays the giant chicken egg...
