Shabby Blessings-Lake Elsinore, CA I am Heidi Justus,owner, and a girl who loves shabby chic home decor. I craft, paint, make amazing small home decor items, and handmade greeting cards.

The name Shabby Blessings came from the belief that God has truly blessed me in this lifetime. I too am shabby and He helps mold me into a beautiful blessing. Yesterday we had a baby shower for my niece and it was a strawberry theme. These were the decorations. My niece’s friend crocheted all the strawberries and I put it all together. I love how it all turned out. We are so excited to meet her in a short while.

This little birdhouse I had found in my Mom’s boxes and one of the roofs was broken off. At one point she collected birdhouses for the kitchen. This led me to believe she wanted to fix it and never got around to it. It had a gray roof before. Today I decided to fix it and repaint it and then I added my shabby chic flair to it to match my room. I also found these cute little birds in her sewing room so I added them. I love how this turned out. I know my Mom would have loved that I repurposed this. So many projects left undone. She had so many plans and life just didn’t let that happen. Miss you Mama!
