To my Bonita Bearcat friends, I just found out that one of our alumni passed away in january. Her name is Patty Mesa. I spoke with her sister last week and she informed me. It was awesome talking to Lola Bell but sad to hear the news. It's always sad to hear that one of our childhood friends passed away. They call this our golden years and I try to make my life golden but the golden years you lose so many people to illness and old age. It's the way life is you live and then you die. My dad used to say that but it's true. Please pray for her family. I pray for everyone every single day to live a happy, good, and full life. I hope everyone had a happy Easter yesterday. Yesterday was also my mother's birthday. She would have been 96 years old. I miss her everyday. Have a great monday! This was posted first by our classmate Lyn Chagiris; I thank her for sharing.

Message received from Christy Putnam-Boggs: Today (March 24, 2026) is a sad day for the Putnam family as my Brother-in-law, Mark Ronald Putnam (BHS 1969) has passed away at home, surrounded by his family, after a valiant battle with cancer. Please keep his family in your prayers as am I.

Ronnie grew up in San Dimas and lived in La Verne. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany. He is survived by his wife Shirlene Davis Putnam (BHS 69), his daughter and son-in-law, two granddaughters and a grandson-in-law and 1 great-granddaughter.
We all mourn the loss of another Bearcat; keeping the Putnam family in our thoughts.

Here is a beautiful picture of Sandee Bosch, who began her high school education at Bonita High School before moving to Oceanside, CA with her family and graduating from Oceanside High School in 1973. She passed on January 27th and will be greatly missed. 🏫🎓📚

Sandee Bosch, our beloved friend, passed away on January 27th. She is survived by her Bearcat brothers - Ray, Ron & Steve Bosch. Her memory will be deeply missed.

The multi class reunion in Kuns Park was so much fun! It was great to see so many friends; and lots of family members too! A fabulous In N Out lunch plus ice cream treats was provided by our class of 1971 friend; Dennis Grady. Thanks to everyone who attended and made our 2025 reunion a success! And remember it was our class of 1970’s 55th! Feel free to correct my spelling on these classmates!

Hi Bearcats! Just a friendly reminder that the Bonita High School multi class reunion is this Saturday August 2; from 12-4 pm.
Make sure you collect your name tags; so you can partake of the free In N Out lunch; and the Kona Shave ice. The first serving from 12-1:30 and dessert from 1:30-2:30 courtesy of our class of 1971 friend Dennis Grady.
There’s a head count of 188 now; so please bring lawn chairs and anything else for your comfort; hats, sunscreen, extra water etc.
