There is something incredibly rewarding about mixing distinct materials and watching them elevate one another.
For this commission foyer table, the goal was to create a striking balance. The warmth and movement of curly cherry meets the wild, unique character of spalted maple. To tie it all together, we brought in a touch of metal—machining custom brass accents into the mortise joints and using brass pins to float the top seamlessly above the frame. Top is officially done .. for now, will see if its gonna need 2nd coat. Definitely gonna put ceramic coat on it in the future.
