Congratulations Catherine Martin and Beverley Dunn for their very well deserved Oscar! Such sumptuous design work shouldn't ever go unrewarded... :)

I finally caught up with Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby. While I choose to keep my opinion of this particular interpretation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic Jazz Age tale of love and ambition to myself, I cannot help but gush about the fantastic 20's inspired over the top sets and the fashion and the art deco jewelry...it was all too drool-worthy!!

I absolutely LOVE putting up the Christmas tree...it's a fun family tradition in our house complete with wine, cheese, Christmas music and general holiday cheer! But bringing it down is such a lonely job...and this time it took me over 30mins to just roll up the ribbons!!
Quest for 2014 - figure out a much more efficient way to dismantle the Christmas tree!!

2013 is over and oh, what a year it has been...full of twists and turns and surprises...but in the end it turned out to be the most productive and fulfilling year ever!! :)
