Showing what it really takes to create video content behind the scenes.

Sometimes the setup is half the adventure — especially when you’re building little contraptions to make your equipment do things it was never really designed to do. Today I’m working on a CNC test piece and getting more comfortable using the CNC for future woodworking projects, custom signs, home decor, and items I’ll be making to sell soon.

There’s a lot of trial, error, creativity, problem-solving, and sawdust that goes into every finished piece. This is the part most people don’t always see — the testing, adjusting, clamping, filming, reworking, and figuring it out as you go.

The CNC has been staying busy lately, and I’m getting started on another batch of custom co****le board tops headed into production. It’s always fun watching raw wood turn into precision-cut pieces that will soon become a finished set ready for backyard games, tailgates, and family fun. Apparently, getting older means I need an iPhone magnifier just to read the fine print on a CNC router bit. 🤦‍♂️😂

The eyes may be struggling, but the projects are still coming out just fine. That’s the good thing about experience—you may not see as well as you used to, but you still know exactly how to get the job done.

So yeah, the fine print is winning a few battles… but the finished project is still winning the war.

We’re taking their custom idea and bringing it to life to see if it turns out exactly the way they envisioned.
