Welcome to our Barn Quilt Banner website. The idea for barn quilts began in Adams County, Ohio with Donna Sue Groves and her wish to honor her mother, Maxine, and her Appalachian heritage. In 2001, she had a painted quilt square hung on her barn. Although quilts are usually made up of several individual squares, barn quilts are usually an individual square painted on a board and then mounted on a
barn or other building. Often a quilt guild or a group of county residents will get together and form a quilt trail. This provides visitors with a guide to viewing the barn quilts in their area. Barn quilts are found in 48 states and in Canada. Would you like to have a barn quilt, but don’t have any way of mounting a heavy painted board? Our barn quilt banners are made of light-weight vinyl with grommets for easy mounting on any surface. We offer three different sizes – so no matter where you decide to put these barn quilts banners they can be easily mounted. Today you can find barn quilts mounted on homes, along fences, and sometimes on freestanding frames.
