My name is Daniel, owner of Weller Automotive & Equipment Repair. I am Texas born and raised and grew up in Lubbock. I started my career as a lube tech at a local shop there. A senior mechanic took me under their wing and expanded my knowledge in the field. I am forever grateful to him as he helped me get my start and set me on a good path. Since then, I have garnered a well rounded set of skills,
due to my unique positions. The local Lubbock shop allowed me to hone in my basics. From there, as a mechanic in the West Texas oil industry, I learned about heavy equipment and became extremely resourceful turning wrenches in the field. My wife had a career opportunity that took her to Cooper Landing, Alaska. I took a risk and went along with her. (I mean fishing on the Kenai River anytime I wanted was a huge selling point, so it didn't take too much convincing.) Off we went on a 3,100 mile road trip. I was fortunate enough to run a fleet of vans, buses, boat motors, and some heavy equipment. Alaska polished my resourcefulness given the extreme, isolated conditions. When her contract ended we decided to stay and build a life there. The fishing was fantastic and the long summer days gave us lots of daylight for activities. We settled in Anchorage and I became the lead mechanic at a shop there. A few years later, I was able to run a fleet for a Senior Outreach center. Alaska was great to us and things just fell into place there. Amazing friends and memories were made. So many fish were caught. We were married in Alaska and my son was born there. But boy, do things change when you have kids. Even surrounded by all the beauty and outdoor lifestyle that Alaska has to offer, we started longing for home. We wanted our son to grow up with a close relationship to our family and his cousins. Then COVID hit and it restricted travel and we knew in our gut, we needed to get back home. So we sold everything and packed up the essentials of our life and headed back to Texas. My wife, two year old son and I have made our back to the Texas Hill Country, where she was raised, to continue our life here. We know in our hearts it's where we belong. My wide variety of roles in the field, have given me a mix of skills I find optimal for a mobile mechanic. So here I am, taking another risk and kicking up this business to support my family here in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. I value honest, hard working people and live my life and run my business with those values at the forefront. I look forward to serving you and your family.
