Rasco Express

Rasco Express All aboard the Rasco Express! Here comes the Rasco Express!! The train is a John Deere mower with the blades detached and a built in cassette deck was installed.

This train was an actual dream of Don Reynolds and transformed into reality by his good friend, John Berry. The cars are made from 30 gallon plastic barrels with chairs placed inside for children. With backing from local businesses, certain cars have the insignia of these businesses. The Rasco Express has had the pleasure of being in many parades, as well as helping out several charitable organiza

tions. On February 6, 2014, we lost our beloved Papa, Don Reynolds. He has given all 5 of his grandchildren over 19 years of memories with The Rasco Express. As a memory to him, a flag is missing from the first car that we had buried with him. We love you and miss you, Papa.

This was my very first trophy ever with the Rasco Express! I got first place in my division and then sweepstakes for the entire parade! This was in May of 1997 in Riverdale. I was only 11 years old and threw a fit because my grandfather wouldn't let me drive. I eventually won the argument and will soon be hitting my 20 year anniversary driving the train! -Holly
