What do I do on days I’m not at the shop? I do property maintenance, repairs and other custom projects. Right now I’m resetting a patio of pavers, and planning this summer’s stone wall repairs by returning to the traditional historic lime mortar instead of Portland cement, which is a poor choice for most historic masonry and causes cracking and damaged stones when used in the wrong places.
I also do garden fencing, hugelkulture beds, mowing etc.
Do you want to learn traditional mortar and masonry? I’m considering bringing in a pro to teach a class if I find 4-6 committed people to learn with me.
