Great update on Michele! She received very good news yesterday - no cancer in the lymph nodes! Thank you, God!

We are considering next steps. Radiation? Chemo? Holistic/Dietary focus? There is an incredible amount of information out there, and much of it is contradictory. Who or what do we trust?

Please pray for guidance and discernment for Michele as she looks at what is best for her moving forward.

Next Friday, Michele and I will be going to Baptist South around 10 a.m. for her surgery. The surgery is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. We have to get there early for all the prep stuff. Michele won't be able to eat, have coffee, or anything else. Her docs ordered up a slew of medications for her to take beforehand.

There will be two surgeons involved, and the procedures are scheduled for three hours.

We have been getting "ready" for values of ready for this. Getting chores done, small house projects, planning Addison's 17th birthday party (it's tomorrow!), as well as more morbid things like setting up an updated living will, checking on life insurance status, and so on. Ugh.

This stuff stinks. We are leaning in to God's promises and choosing faith over fear. We are so incredibly blessed by God and all of you. Your love, support, prayers and donations are incredible. Words are inadequate to express our gratitude. We are so greatly humbled by all of the love. All we can say is, thank you!

I will be updating the Caring Bridge blog on the surgery day. If you want to text me for an update, please consider checking the Caring Bridge first, as I will post updates there. Depending on what's going on, I may not be able to respond to your text very quickly, so please be patient.

I cannot thank all of you enough for the dozens of comments, prayers and donations! THANK YOU! We are so greatly humbled. Your generosity means that the $1500 we have to prepay to the plastic surgeon tomorrows is already taken care of, so that "How are we going to pay that?" question has been answered by YOU.

God is blessing Michele through YOU, and you are all our angels. Thank you for being awesome!

Custom Brazilian Cherry serving/cutting board. This is repurposed cribbing or crate material for granite slabs. The nail holes and voids were filled with clear epoxy. The close up photo shows the detail of one of the epoxy filled voids. This board was finished with butcher block oil. It is food safe and can be used for serving or cutting.

The wood is absolutely beautiful, with high levels of figuring (the curly swirly patterns in the wood). Figuring sounds fancier than curly swirly!

It is 38“ x 9“ x 1” thick. It is sold. Regular price for a piece like this is $175

I also have 8”x14” and 12”x24” molds.

The two blue ones are sold.

Red ones are cedar. One of them has a crack (darn it!). It’s sealed and useable, discounted to $50

I have walnut, cedar, oak. Other wood types can be requested. Custom pieces are available upon request.

FYI - Epoxy boards are best used for serving, not cutting. Wood or plastic cheese knives can be used on them. Keep them away from heat. Hand wipe with a damp rag. They are finished with wax and food safe oils.
