Oh my goodness, I have a new obsession - longarm quilting! I love that APQS in Issaquah lets you rent time on their machines. Taking a quilt all the way from sketchbook to finished top and longarm quilting it myself is just the best! Have you tried longarm quilting?

Quilt top finish! I planned this quilt over a year ago and finally had a chance to make it. I used the beautiful Flower Garden fabric collection by Hang Tight Studio for Cloud9 Fabrics. It’s so fun to bring a quilt mock-up to life!

Happy Saturday, time to sew a little something. I made this star block with the intention of turning it into a pillow but I may keep going and make a quilt (or I could make both).

This Sawtooth Star block came together using the four-at-a-time Flying Geese method—and how cute is this fabric? 🐾 Dogs playing on slides…it reminds me of summer days at the park with my daughter. I used to scope out the playgrounds with the best slides and the highest swings.

If you’ve ever struggled to get crisp points on your Flying Geese blocks (or just want to make a bunch fast), I have a free cutting chart that makes it easy. It includes sizes from 1" x 2" up to 12" x 24", all oversized for accurate trimming.
