Before and after.
This was not an easy one but I loved it!!!
I don’t know how to word this without sounding arrogant and if you know me you know I’m not.
But this was a unique project requiring a particular set of skills which I’ve developed over my 35 year career.
It was not for the faint of heart.
These beautiful 8’ tall mahogany doors were a year or two from being unsalvageable.
We were able to do an exterior restoration and give them new life!

Unique is definitely our game.
If you have a one-of-a-kind project and are not quite sure who to talk with about it, please send us a message. Maybe we are just who you’re looking for. 🙏✌️

Finally getting around to some quality shop time with my son. Amazing what an extra set of capable hands can bring to production. My daughter is coming on board this summer with her creative genius and organizational skills. We’re going to make this a family business yet.
Absolutely blessed!🙏✌️

Happy Friday. We’re still in the early stages of this new venture but I’m pretty excited. I was urged to submit a few of my pieces to
Full Circle Nine Gallery in the Indianapolis Factory Arts District and I’m proud to say I’ve been accepted as a new artist! I have four pieces on display with more to come.
If you’re down that way be sure to swing by and check it out!
Thanks!🙏 ✌️

Blessed to deliver these amazing pieces to their forever home this evening.
The clients had been looking for pieces to complete their bathroom but couldn’t find what they wanted.
I was given a tour of their beautiful home and was asked to design a bench and tub caddy that complement the rest of their arts and crafts style decor.
My favorite kind of challenge and my favorite style of furniture.
I hope I did their home justice.
Quarter sawn white oak and walnut with brass accents. I love my job.

Don’t be fooled by others who loosely throw around this term.
If it’s labeled “custom” but is already sitting in a showroom, it wasn’t made specifically for you—and therefore, it’s not truly custom-made.

If you’re looking for a genuinely one-of-a-kind piece, unlike anything else, please contact me personally. That’s my specialty.🙏✌️

Happiness is directly proportional to courage.
Theorist Joseph Campbell said “The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”

If you aren’t doing what you love, I urge you to work toward that.
It’s taken me nearly 35 years in woodworking to get where I am today.

Most days it’s not perfect, and there are a lot of lean times, but when it’s right, there’s nothing like it.

For me, coming out to the chilly shop, putting on some ’80s rock, and firing up my 1958 Rockwell/Delta 8” jointer… it’s nothing short of therapeutic. And knowing you’re crafting a one-of-a-kind piece of art that was, just a few weeks ago, an idea in your head—there’s no other feeling like it.

Being self-employed isn’t for everyone, and it’s not easy. Just ask my wife and kids. ❤️ Some days I’m pulling out my hair—well, beard hair anyway—but when it’s right, it’s right.

Life is short. Do what you love, even if it’s difficult at times. It’s truly magical.

A step that is oft overlooked. Flattening. Running a crooked board through a planer just gives you a smooth crooked board. You must take the time to properly flatten one side before you plane it. Thus giving you proper coplaner surfaces. In high end pieces a miss like this is unacceptable.
