Here’s a couple projects I turned out this past week. It’s funny how things kinda go in waves… I haven’t had to do railings for a few months then all of a sudden everyone wants one.

•The safety yellow railing was for the Desert Color resort in St. George to cover up the man hole seen in the pictures.

• The black railing was for the same good friend I built the fence for. He bought this house last month and is doing a complete remodel. The stairwell has never had any sort of railing so he had me custom build these to match each other. Steel railings always add to the appearance of a home. You can never go wrong that way. I have more to come of those on the interior of the home.

• I built some scooter rails for . They’re for his son’s birthday this coming week. I always enjoy building things I know will make another happy.

•The final photos was just a simple evening job throwing some wear bars on a new bucket.

I’ve been busy as ever the last month or so and I need to do a better job logging my projects on here. This was a quick crane I built for a resort just outside of St. George. One of their 3 water pump motors quit them this past week and they needed a custom dolly to fit in the tight quarters of the pump house.

Finished up these bumpers a couple of weeks ago for . They turned out sharp with a hammer black powder coat. He pulled himself out of the snow today with the ol winch and it didn’t tip the bumper off so I guess I did my job right.😉 Thanks for hitting me up to work your truck over!! Also, if anyone has any arborist needs in the Cedar City area, Kota does strong work and has the tools and resources to do things right!

This was a special project for me. My Grandma Torgersen has been wanting a new railing for this entry way for years. I have fond memories of my late Grandpa T leaning against the old one shooting the breeze and talking stories. It was built out of 2x4 and 2x2 slats and was wired and red-headed to hold it up after 30 or more years. She had mentioned something to my brother about needing something new there and he told her I could do something. It ended turning out pretty great after everything was said and done!

Today’s line of work... Gettin’ my butt kicked in 100 degree heat. I got a call from a excavation company here in the valley needing some work done on a grizzly and this trackhoe bucket. The grizzly needed the grating replaced. The bucket has a few hairline cracks in some of the teeth so I did some hard facing to prevent any further breaking. It’s a good day to have in the bag!

Shifting gears a bit this weekend from the usual rustic furniture work. I cut the cancer out of this 1988 W-W Trailer and welded in some 6” strap to build it back up for my buddy . I ended up having to use 120 v power instead of the usual 240 v power to weld this up and the 211 welder did strong work. For anyone welding light material and want a good machine to load in the back of your pick up that won’t break your back nor your wallet, the Miller 211 is a great little welder! @ Summit, Utah
