My grandfather, August Niccolai, spent his entire adult life as a master carpenter. Born to the parents of Italian immigrants, grandpa Niccolai, or Papa Nick as he was known around the shop, had a passion for turning bare wood into beautiful handcrafted master pieces. As a kid, I remember all the fun I would have when I visited grandpa and grandma Niccolai. Many of the toys we played with were ha

ndmade by Grandpa Niccolai in his wood shop out back of their house. Little did I know that the seed would be planted way back then and that I would grow up to have a passion for woodworking. Although many people have influenced my life in many different ways, it was Grandpa Niccolai who made me appreciate carpentry work.
