I must say, Jon has been hard at work making BJ’s a new bar downstairs! Anyone who’s stayed with us, knows this used to be a small picnic table. Well, not anymore! Check out this beautiful bar he has made completely by himself! So much more fun, plenty of seating… it’s still a work in progress, but definitely a fun place to hang out!!! Here are some before and after pictures….

I rarely post my personal endeavors. There are too many to list…
However, this one is for the record books! I recently took a 10 day paramotor course held by Paramotor, in Crystal beach, Tx. Led by Ryan Glowka and Brett Whitehead. They did not disappoint! The professionalism, skill, knowledge base, & attention to detail & safety far exceeded my expectations. We learned everything from gear familiarity, motor maintenance, fuel consumption, aerodynamics, FAA sectionals (my personal favorite), gear cleaning, how to take off and land safely, but above all - to my surprise…weather was the most important take away for me. Not all take offs and landings were perfect - far from it. We all met some great lifelong flying bros and had a great time doing so! If you are looking for a great thing to do, and meet some awesome people with like minded goals, I highly recommend Texas Paramotor!

Our house, BJ’s by the Beach, family owned and named after my wife and I, is located on Crystal Beach in Port Bolivar. Walking distance to the beach, this house is fully stocked with everything you need! Bring clothes and food and you’ll be set! Our kitchen includes all kitchenware, including a crockpot, and a Keurig. We have smart TV’s in every room and our living room has a 75 inch TV with a XBOX and games. Our TV’s have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and YouTube. We have a full washer and dryer, all linens provided included beach towels and house towels. All beds have high quality sheets, & down comforter and pillows. Outside we have a beautiful porch with amazing chairs to enjoy the sunset and beautiful weather. Downstairs, we have a grill, a large covered picnic table, a fish cleaning station, a sink and an outdoor shower.
