From dark & dated → warm & beautifully updated.

This one was ready for a fresh start, and I’m loving how it turned out!

I gave this vintage dresser a completely new look with a custom stain color in aged wheat by Varathane, that brings out the warmth and character of the wood, paired with new modern antique-copper hardware. The result is a piece that feels classic but definitely not stuck in the past.

I especially love those tapered legs and the clean, mid-century-inspired lines, finished with the new clean modern leaf drawer liners.

When I picked up this Bassett Furniture dresser set, it had definitely seen better days. But underneath all of that, I could see the potential—and that beautiful walnut grain was just too good to cover up.

So I gave her some much-needed love, brought the wood back to life, added some fresh hardware, some fun checkered drawer liners, and let that gorgeous grain be the star of the show.

I absolutely LOVE how she turned out. There’s just something about taking an old, tired piece and getting to see it become beautiful again. That’s honestly my favorite part of doing this.
