This is one of my favorite original designs to build. Serene Dojo, a full storage-drawer case&board wrapped in Japanese botanical patterns, an exotic Peruvian Walnut trim, and a solid Cherry/Walnut playing surface.

Every panel, every drawer wall, every corner was hand-cut, shaped, and finished here in my shop. The idea was to build something that feels more like an heirloom storage/case than a simple game board.

Thank you to everyone who’s been patient while I’ve been deep in holiday orders. I’m getting back to posting more of what’s actually happening behind the scenes, and there’s a lot more on the way.

It’s the very first board I’ve completed in the larger 2.25” square format, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Handcrafted from enriched hardwoods, finished to a glassy mirror sheen, and framed with a storage drawer wrapped in deep botanical tones — almost like a secret garden right beneath the battlefield.
