Excited to announce that Forget Me Nots in Headland will be the pick up location for Moo Cow Designs purchase pick ups!

We will serve simply as a pick up location for completed purchases and will not accept payments for purchases.

The Story Behind Maggie Mae’s
Welcome to our booth! People often ask how we chose our name. When I retired, I treated myself to the best retirement present imaginable: my sweet goldendoodle, Maggie Mae. She marked the beginning of a joyful new chapter—one dedicated to family, creativity, and passion.
Maggie Mae’s is a true family labor of love. My sister, Lois Huff, and I are the curation team. Growing up poor, we learned early on to see the beauty, purpose, and value in everyday items that others might overlook. We have been through so many tragedies together, and this booth has truly become our happy place. This space is built entirely on a lifetime of rich family memories and the enduring spirits of the wonderful people who raised and shaped us: our beloved mother Alice Busby, our grandma Edna Busby, our aunt Dorice, and our uncle Pete Busby.
Together, Lois and I spend our time hunting for unique treasures that hold that same nostalgic warmth. Our collection carefully mixes the rugged history of early American primitives, the sleek lines of Mid-Century Modern design, and the timeless glow of antique glass.
We couldn't do any of this alone. This booth wouldn't be standing without our incredible support team. A very special thank you goes to my fiancé, Ben Cox, my daughter, Jessica Benton Ham, and my brother-in-law, Tommy Huff. Their endless love, cheering on, and moral support give us strength and keep us smiling every single day. Thank you for supporting our family passion project and helping us honor our history. We want to take a minute to give some credit where credit is due for local businesses here in Headland! Whether it was a big or small gesture, the support has been felt and that is one of the many things that makes Headland great!

Murphy’s:
They have kept us going on Lotus drinks and Blue Bell ice cream! And got our store smelling good with their line of fragrances they carry. Not to mention the good conversations and encouragement.

Headland Insurance Agency:
They have been excited watching this process next door and kept the beautiful flowers out front watered in this heat! They checked on us often.

Mama Rosa’s Pizza:
We had MANY a lunch specials with extra ranch, that good homemade ranch! Ranch lovers know!!

Ace Hardware:
We cannot tell you how many trips were made there for all our needs to get this place ready! Good conversation and encouragement from other local business owners!

Smith’s True Value:
Filled our hardware needs and our fountain Dr. Pepper needs! If you know, you know!

Lafeal Williams with LSW Supreme Pressure Washing:
He got us set up and knocked some grime off the sidewalk to give us a facelift in the front of the shop. Honest, hard working man, and if you ever find yourself at a Headland Baseball game, you better get the Lafeal Special, Sausage Dog with peppers and onions!

The fuel I need in the morning!

Happy Chicks on 431 between Headland and Dothan:
The “chicks” have been so supportive and encouraging! They share the same love for taking something and putting in work and creativity to bring it back to life, giving it a second chance to be loved in someone’s home! Y’all stop in and check them out on your drive to and from Dothan!

Dianne’s Florist and Gifts:
On Opening Day they sent over a beautiful arrangement to show support and encouragement! It’s also where my sweet mother in love got a plant, that I shouldn’t be able to kill, for me! And my best friend got me a bag full of goodies to celebrate making it to Opening Day.

The Sparrow’s Nest:
When a group of friends wanted to send us an arrangement of Forget Me Not flowers, but they aren’t in season, the ladies at the Sparrow’s Nest got creative, put in a little extra work, and provided a beautiful arrangement of tiny blue flowers to signify our name! Even including some antique post cards that have Forget Me Not flowers on them!

District 37:
They have been so encouraging and kept us going with prayers and positivity! Working on some T shirt designs, but one thing at the time!

Moo Cow Designs:
Starting a new business comes with a learning curve! Kellie answered every question I had and gave great lived and learned advice!

There are so many more businesses in Headland and I am excited to be able to slow down a little and explore more of our beautiful town square!

Before and After!😍

So many blessings fell into place for this to be possible!
And A LOT of work by family and friends!
As owners, and our wonderful husbands, put in an incredible amount of work to get this place ready for our vendors to come in and put in their hardwork to finish this shop off. This place wouldn't be what it is without the collaboration between Forget Me Nots and each of our vendors!

As I was trying to pick a song for this video I came across this beautiful song covered by Headland's very own Bailey Bennett Knighton.
She is an up and coming artist with a talent for song writing, acoustic guitar, and her beautiful voice. This song perfectly sums up our goal at Forget Me Nots, everything we do and every opportunity the Lord gives us, let it be a hallelujah.
